I really like this one. I had to shoot
a dad taking his kids away in the middle of the night. To shoot this on location could be quite distressing for the children so it was best to keep the children in a warm safe environment.
My first task was to find the
right background, I wanted that half light between night and day, and the street lamps gently glowing and adding atmosphere.
The dad and children were shot separately with the street lamp glow recreated to cast a heavy side light. Care was taken to ensure the angle was the same as in the background shot. Finally the shadows added to link the images together. |
